Mindfulness and Meditation
This book is a gift I received from a lovely friend today. I've tried a little bit of mindfulness before and found it very effective, so looking forward to working my way through this. Keeping my mind healthy as well as getting my body sorted is vital! All the positivity had been amazing and has honestly worked wonders so please keep it coming.
I also try to do a little bit of meditation in the mornings. A friend sent me the Headspace app for my phone and all you need is 10 minutes to give yourself a bit of, well, headspace! Like I said, I do it in the mornings but you can do it anytime in the day when you can grab the time. It helps to give you a bit of calm really and to appreciate the importance of giving this to yourself.
I also love yoga. Truth is I've missed it for a while now but I plan on gettimg back to it now and will post the benefits it gives me as I go along. A quick snippet now is that it helps me to put all else aside apart from the energy I am generating from the practice. It's an amazing thing and hard to describe, but really brings out a positivity and spiritual feeling that is enriching. It really does improve physical and mental wellbeing and is something I know will help me especially in this journey. Once I'm back at it, I'll put some more posts up :-)
